Research

As an interdisciplinary design researcher, I use qualitative empirical research methods to analyze emerging graphic design trends and values. My doctoral dissertation investigated the way selected graphic design institutions conceptualized “sustainability.” I aspire to initiate a deeper understanding of the complexities of the graphic design field and establish theories that enable more socially and environmentally responsible graphic design practice.
